Five Danley boxes cover the whole stadium at Episcopal High School — an SH46 main horn mounted 35 feet up, three weatherized OS80s carrying the stands and the far side, and a TH118XL subwoofer underneath it all, driven by one four-channel DSP amplifier. And the layout was proven seat by seat, on paper, before a single box shipped.
The Knights’ stadium is the full Louisiana package — home and visitor stands flanking a regulation track, the ball fields sitting just beyond, and nothing but open sky overhead. Episcopal Athletics had already committed to getting sound right across its venues; after the gym, the stadium was next.
Outdoors, there are no walls working for you. Every word and every note the crowd hears has to come straight off the boxes — aimed correctly, with enough headroom to sit on top of a Friday-night crowd. That makes it a design problem before it’s an installation problem, so that’s where this project started.

The main voice is a Danley SH46 — a 40° by 60° Synergy horn in its extreme-weatherized version, built to live outdoors permanently — mounted 35 feet up so its pattern lands on the seats instead of the sky. Three OS80s, Danley’s purpose-built outdoor cabinet, carry what the horn doesn’t: the near stands, field level, and the visitor side across the track, one of them riding a dedicated pole mount.
Underneath it all sits a TH118XL — Danley’s tapped-horn subwoofer, weatherized for the install — putting real low end into a space that usually swallows it. All five boxes run home to a single Danley DNA 10K4 Pro: four channels, 10,000 watts, onboard DSP handling crossovers, EQ, and limiting from one two-space rack unit. One amp, one stadium.
In March 2023, before anything was ordered, the whole layout went into Danley Direct’s modeling program — every speaker placed in a 3-D model of the actual stadium, aimed, and measured. The prediction came back seat by seat: mid-90s dB through the home stands, 90 at field level, high-80s across the visitor side. The coverage map said the system would work before the purchase order existed.
Modeling before mounting isn’t a special occasion here — it’s the same process behind every system we design and install. The customer sees the proof on paper first, then watches the stadium match it.
