Istrouma Ascension. Nine years, five chapters.

Nine years of working alongside the Istrouma Ascension team in Prairieville — stage pockets, cameras, console, lighting in the children's room, and now Elation Cyc Ls and an overhead bar in the sanctuary. Five chapters, same story.

The Relationship

Nine years in the same building.

We started with the stage pockets years ago — wired with power, XLR in and out, and Cat5 jacks for the stage mixers. Cameras came next, then the audio console, then a lighting build for the children's room. Each project came in on its own scope and timing.

Sanctuary lighting is the current chapter. Five projects, one team across the table, a building that's grown into itself.

Our Layer

Cyc Ls behind, an overhead bar above.

Istrouma already had wall-wash bars dialed in for their worship band — that investment was working. The current design adds a programmable back wall and overhead light that finishes the picture from above.

Elation Cyc L fixtures washing the back wall give the room a programmable backdrop — solid color, slow gradient, punch on the chorus. The overhead bar carries back light and front light together, filling in what the bars already cover and what the room needs to read on camera and from the back row.

The Install

In and out around the room's calendar.

Like every project before it, install ran around the church's program schedule — fixtures hung, cabling routed, control wired and tested through the week, with the room ready for Sunday. The team that owns the room kept owning it.
