Stage lighting and house lighting were updated together and programmed as one system, built around what a service actually asks for — Elation Fuze Pendant Profile Compacts across the house, a full stage rig above the platform, and an Obsidian ONYX NX 1 holding the programming. Day to day, a Springtree Media DMX wall panel brings it all up at the press of a button.
Acacia came to this project with a wide open ceiling and a clean sightline from the back of the room to the platform — the kind of blank canvas that makes a lighting design straightforward to lay out. The work was deciding where each fixture would live so the house reads evenly and the stage gets its own separate look.
That layout work — how many fixtures, and exactly where each one lands — is what keeps the install tidy and the finished room consistent from the front row to the back.
The house is lit by Elation Fuze Pendant Profile Compacts — pendant-mounted LED profiles with full color and shaping control, sized to hang over a room full of people and bright enough to carry the house on their own. Because they are profiles, the same fixtures that wash the room warm for a service can shape and color it for whatever else is on the calendar.
Above and around the platform sits a full stage lighting system with multiple front and back coverage positions, addressed alongside the house so the two live under one combined control. All of it runs to an Obsidian ONYX NX 1 — the console side of the ONYX platform — where the patch, palettes, and cues live.
Coverage gets solved before anyone climbs a ladder. Digital design tools and an on-site visit work together — the software lays out fixture positions and predicted levels, the walkthrough checks them against the real room — so the light lands crisp, smooth, and even wall to wall the first time it comes up.
Then the console steps back. A Springtree Media DMX wall panel recalls the programmed looks directly, so a volunteer or staff member can walk in, press one button, and have the room right — the same approach behind every system we design and install. The ONYX NX 1 is there when someone wants to build something new.
